Affording Pine Cobble
Pine Cobble values a socioeconomically diverse student body – something we achieve through robust need-based financial aid grants and tuition forgiveness. In any given year, at least one-third of Pine Cobble students receive tuition assistance in some way. Grants are need-based, and vary from several hundred dollars to significantly more.
A parent of a sixth grade student recently observed that Pine Cobble is a powerful investment – one he knows will pay dividends over his child’s lifetime. Research by the National Association of Independent Schools shows that families who choose independent private schools like Pine Cobble make that choice for the school’s high teacher quality, academic standards, commitment to student integrity, and individual attention from faculty staff.

Financial Aid Process:
In recent years, financial aid has exceeded $250,000, and has been distributed to at least 30% of our students. Although all admission decisions are made independently of financial aid decisions, parents should apply for aid online at: www.sssbynais.org/parents as early as possible, and submit their most recent tax return to the school. Financial aid is available for students in Kindergarten through ninth grade who could not otherwise afford Pine Cobble School’s tuition fees. Returning families’ requests are processed first, then new families are considered on a first come, first served basis. All decisions are based on need, and it is necessary to apply for aid each year it is needed.
Pine Cobble School now offers endowed need-based scholarships, including the Hunter Family Scholarships. Click here for the Hunter Family Scholarship Application.
