In this day of technology and the Internet, it is essential to keep our children connected to books. Computers are invaluable when it comes to research and preparing reports. There is nothing like sitting in a comfortable chair, opening a new book, and letting ourselves explore uncharted places.
The goal of the library curriculum is to expose the children to a multitude of great children’s literature and to instill in them a love for books and reading. We also explore the way libraries work, including exploring and learning about the uses of the reference section, fiction, and non-fiction, as well as the responsibility of signing out and returning books.
