Annual Fund
A gift to Pine Cobble School’s Annual Fund supports the day-to-day operating expenses of the school. Pine Cobble, like every other private educational institution, has a budget gap. That gap is the difference between what a family pays to send a child to Pine Cobble and what it actually costs to educate that child. For Pine Cobble the budget gap is $1500. That gap is what the Annual Fund covers. The Annual Fund is an essential part of our annual budget. We need to meet and even exceed our Annual Fund goal each year in order to continue to be a leader in elementary and middle school education.
Specifically the Annual Fund helps to:
- Keep classes small with an outstanding faculty
- Offer programs like music, drama, art, and athletics
- Keep a socio-economically diverse student body by offering financial aid
- Offer foreign languages from pre-kindergarten – 9 th grade
- Provide the necessary equipment and materials for the maintenance of the buildings and grounds
We invite you to make a gift to our Annual Fund. We set our goal for the 2007-2008 Annual Fund Drive at $110,000. We want all of our constituents to understand that every dollar counts in the lives of our students. No gift is too small. Please join the team effort.
At of the close of the '06 -'07 fund drive, our percent of participation by current families was 68% and current faculty 100%. We also had 100% participation from our Board members. While we did not set a specific goal for our alumni/ae, the numbers were spectacular at 16%. This is a significant number for a PreKindergarten through 9th grade day school and is a considerable increase from previous years. Thank you to all of our parents, grandparents, faculty and alumni/ae who joined the effort. Those who did not, please consider a gift to the 2007-2008 drive. While a goal of $110,000 is ambitious, we are confident that together we can reach and exceed that amount. Please join us. The current drive officially opened on July 1, 2007.
