What are you currently doing?
I live in Stowe, VT. I am married with 2 children (6 and 2). I manage the Manufacturing and Distribution operations (a plant in Waterbury, VT and one in Essex Jct, VT with a total of about 500 full time employees) for a coffee company called Green Mountain Coffee Roasters.

Where did you go after Pine Cobble – high school, college and beyond?
I attended Mount Anthony Union H.S. in Bennington, VT graduating in 1980.
I attended Princeton University, graduating with a B.S. in Engineering, 1984.

How did your experience at PineCobbleSchool affect the choices you have made since graduation?
Pine Cobble laid a solid academic, athletic, extra-curricular (drama, music, etc.), and social foundation for all of my future adventures. The rigor of the Pine Cobble experience helped me in aiming higher in many of the things I went on to do. The good habits that I had learned with my studies at Pine Cobble benefited me in my future academic courses.

Give us two of your fondest Pine Cobble memories.
That’s a difficult question! I have lots of fond memories of my nine years at the school. A few that come to mind:
  • Annual week long ski trips to Jay Peak, VT with Mr. Baran.
  • Plays and film-making with Mr. Burns (and the cast parties at Juliet’s house after!)
  • Weekly skating & skiing outings (Williams Rink and Jiminy Peak)
  • Many hours competing on the soccer field
  • Moving into the new school from our temporary classrooms at the local church
