Pine Cobble seeks Development Director

Written by Christy Richardson on March 16, 2015

Pine Cobble’s beloved Sarah Dewey will be leaving at the end of the school year, and we’re actively recruiting an experienced Director of Development.

Our team is outstanding, and this position offers the chance to make a lasting impact on a school that is at once rare, extraordinary, and beautiful. The truth is, there aren’t a whole lot of places like Pine Cobble School — places that nurture and value the individual child; teach kids to think deeply and broadly; foster the skills and habits they’ll need regardless of their life’s path; and while also valuing childhood itself…not as a means to an end, but as something inherently precious.

Pine Cobble is one of a kind, and for the right individual, this is a chance to make a powerful and deeply meaningful mark on the world, and on generations.

Here’s the job announcement. Please pass it on.

Pine Cobble School, an independent day school in Williamstown, Massachusetts, is seeking a Director of Development who is innovative, well spoken, and a strong writer, who also has a track record of being a successful collaborator and fundraiser. The new hire will join the school’s leadership team on or around July, 2015.  Experience identifying, cultivating, and soliciting annual fund and major gifts is a plus, but not required if candidate has other applicable experience. Hardworking, adaptable, positive, resilient and affable are essential qualities. Applications are being accepted through April 15th. Please send a cover letter, writing sample,  resume, and two letters of reference to Deb Mahan at d.mahan@pinecobble.org. If you wish to speak to someone, please call Head of School, Sue Wells at 413-458-4680 ext. 19.
