Welcome to Pine Cobble’s Parent page of the school website. We’re so glad that you and your child are a part of the Pine Cobble community. It’s a responsibility we take seriously, and we strive every day to earn the trust you’ve given us.
We communicate with all parents every week via the Messenger, an all-school email that is filled with information about what’s happening on campus; we send it to the emails provided on parent contact forms (submitted before the start of every school year). Each class has a way of communicating with parents regularly, as well, and your child’s teacher will inform you about their preferred method. Some use Google Groups, some use Wikispaces, and some use printed newsletter — we allow faculty to use whatever form is most convenient, provided the communication is ongoing.
You’ll also have many one-on-one discussions with your child’s teacher throughout the year — both via formal parent conferences (twice a year), but also whenever a situation arises. You won’t just hear when your child needs support, either; we believe in “good news phone calls!”
As a parent, you are automatically a member of the P.T.G., the parent teacher group, that works with administration, students, faculty and families to strengthen the Pine Cobble community. Open meetings are held throughout the school year. To find out more about how you can be involved in the P.T.G., please contact Sue Briggs at email@example.com or click on the links on this page.
Also, anyone involved in the Pine Cobble Community should view and download the current 2016-2017 Calendar.
